13.10.2016 - 2017 novelty: Soloists combine to form a harmonious ensemble
Jasba-Pattern: patterns, decorations, symbols, ornaments …

The design elements mentioned in the heading have accompanied mankind for millennia and still have a quite special appeal. The new Jasba collection Pattern ceramically captures this fascination in the form of the two variants Vola and Mesh. Each of the two versions represents this intention in its own way, but both according to a comparable basic principle: inspiring individual motifs conveying a playful, artistic impression combine to form a harmonious ensemble, which sets attractive accents and fascinates by great individuality.

Stringent concept
Besides the motifs themselves, the form of delivery makes an essential contribution: always nine tiles in the format of 10 x 10 centimetres are combined on sheets of 30 x 30 makes an essential contribution: always nine tiles in the format of 10 x 10 centimetres by means of glass fibre net glued thermoplastically on back, and the arrangement of the 27 (!) different elements for each variant is made at random in the factory. This not only facilitates laying from the technical and visual point of view but also ensures that every surface designed with these tiles becomes a creative covering which is unique. In addition, Vola is also avail-able in the size of 20 x 20 makes an essential contribution: always nine tiles in the format of 10 x 10 centimetres (18 different elements as loose single tiles).

High degree of freedom
The new collection consists of high-quality glazed stoneware and thus is suitable for laying on the wall   a n d   the floor (in private areas). It is quite natural that the use on all surfaces results in a very expressive and extroverted room concept. The alternative is to use these tiles on the wall   o r   the floor. In this case, for obtaining an optimal effect, a restrained and unobtrusive design of the other surface(s) in the room is recommended. For this, appropriate mono-coloured tiles with a discreetly noble, silky-matt surface are available in three neutral colours (white, beige, grey) and matching formats (10 x 10 centimetres, also with net on reverse side, and 20 x 20 centimetres, also loose single tiles).

Vola: cultural variety
Historical tiles from diverse countries and culture areas were the starting basis for this variant. Strikingly coloured elements correspond with subtle nuances, large ornaments with small ones, regular designs with irregular ones, abundant decors with delicate ones. The patternings are all slightly interrupted, which lends the mix a soft “Used-Look”, visual depth and charming naturalness. The “felt result“ is accordingly varied: the sensations range from Majorcan to Iberian-Moorish and on to North African or oriental. It is exactly this effect at which Vola aims: every person may discover, design and enjoy its individual private living world in this way…

Mesh: modern emotionality
The sources of inspiration for this version were weaving patterns, embroidery and textiles. Laid as surface covering, filigree patternings mix with ornamental ones, the lines are slightly flowing and also provided with a touch of “Used-Look” in order to subtly support modern emotionality in this way. Following this idea, the range of colour nuances comprises grey and brown shades in different intensities as well as natural-white as linking component, which creates a friendly lightness at the same time. The total of these characteristics make Mesh a composition which permits to design an ambience of well-being of a special kind.

Added value: HT coating
However, the series is convincing not only by its outer but also by its inner values: the motif and the mono-coloured tiles of this new collection are provided with the HT coating (HT = “Hydrophilic Tile“) already ex factory. This innovative solution is based on the effect of light and lends ceramic tiles revolutionary characteristics: they are extremely easy to clean, have an antibacterial effect without using chemical products and eliminate unwelcome odours as well as air pollutants. Thus, HT saves time and money and contributes to environmental protection thanks to the considerably reduced use of cleaning agents and disinfectants.

General conclusion
The look of the series Pattern, which is extraordinary in the true sense of the word, arouses associations with the cheerful attitude to life of southern regions in conjunction with vibrant nonchalance, esprit and zest for life. Despite the expressive look, the collection outlasts short-lived trends thanks to high design and product quality and ensures that one can never see enough of it, but always discovers new facets.
