“Lighthouses in the sea of brands“
JASBA receives the prize as brand of the century from Dr. Florian Langenscheidt

Contrary to the “cheap is hip” mentality, brands still play an important and irreplaceable part. However, it is not only the prestige that counts, because brands are representing numerous other values such as reliability, continuity, confidence, quality, competence or durability. JASBA mosaics in the prize-winning King’s Cross Station, London
Brilliant architecture, ceramic mosaic and Harry Potter…

The answer to these terms supposedly put together at random is to be found in London: there, a building in a class of its own was realized by the spectacular modernization of the “King’s Cross Station“, which was terminated after several years of renovation right before the beginning of the Olympic Games 2012. The project had been planned by the renowned British architect’s office McAslan + Partners. Jay Merrick of the great British daily newspaper “The Independent“ commented on it as follows: “It’s the most innovative moment in British transport architecture in twenty years“. This estimation is confirmed by numerous coveted architecture prizes such as e.g. the “Tom McCarthy Infrastructure Project of the Year 2012 award”, the “AT AJ Retrofit Award 2012” or the nomination for the “Bentley be inspired Award 2012”, which will be awarded at the end of the year. more… more...
