Features:
- Levelling
- Especially under small-format coverings
- No hollow sound
- High tensile bond strength
Product description:
The Jasba-NIVELLA is a special levelling mat which is ideal for combining Jasba mosaics (6.5 mm) with the wall and floor tiles (8 mm) offered. High tensile bond strength as well as bending, tensile and compressive strength are the distinctive performance features of this levelling mat.
Surfaces:
The surfaces on which Jasba-NIVELLA is used must be examined for evenness, loadbearing capacity and surface strength. Differences in floor levels must be eliminated. Adhesion-inhibiting layers must be removed by grinding. Primers co-ordinated to the surface, grout and/or levelling layers must also be used. Compensation filling and levelling – including for the adjacent coverings – must be performed prior to fitting the levelling mat. Surfaces which are sensitive to moisture must be protected by performing the appropriate sealing measures.
- Cement-based surfaces such as screed or concrete must be at least 28 days old; new screed up to 7 days after accessibility.
- Calcium sulphate screed with residual moisture <1%
- Poured asphalt screed
- Magnesia/Stonewood screed
- Heated screed
- Dry screed
- Old, firm ceramic coverings
- Old natural stone coverings
- Plasterboard
- Fibre cement boards
- Plaster

Installation instructions
Levelling mat for commercial and private use in indoor and outdoor applications (walls / floors)
Installation:
Apply suitable tile adhesive to the prepared surface in accordance with DIN EN 12004 C2 and DIN EN 12002 S1. Jasba-NIVELLA mats are cut to the requisite size, fullyembedded in the adhesive and laid edge to edge. The tile adhesive is filled consistently in the grooves (mesh structure). The mesh cavities must be 100% filled. Using the corresponding toothed bar, comb out the adhesive and lay the Jasba mosaics. At the earliest after 24 hours, the areas are grouted using a polymer-modified mortar.
1. Surfaces must be free of adhesion-inhibiting components. Evenness must comply with DIN 18202. The surface must have a load-bearing capacity and be firm. Primer must also be applied depending on the surface.
2. The levelling mats are cut to size using strong shears.

3. Apply tile adhesive to the surface in accordance with DIN 12004 C2 and/or 12002 S1. Restraints to ascending components must be avoided.

4. The individual mats are fitted edge to edge.

5. Submerge the levelling mat fully into the adhesive open mortar and press down using a plasterer’s float or pressure roll.

6. The recesses in the mesh structure are consistently and fully filled with tile adhesive. The tile adhesive is then freshly combed up using a notched trowel co-rdinated to the mosaic or tile (4 or 6 mm toothing) and on which the tiles are laid.

7. The tiles can be grouted at the earliest after 24 hours.
8. Expansion and boundary joints must be applied and/or adopted in accordance with the applicable guidelines.
